Camille Walala

CAMILLE WALALA is a multidisciplinary artist who works in textile, graphic and interior design and architecture. Her works are full of positivity, expressed through vibrant colours and straight lines that immerse you in an eclectic, avant-garde and emotional world.

Camille transforms homes, work spaces, boutiques and hotels, all with her characteristic pop-tribal style. Her work is influenced by the Memphis Movement, the Ndebele tribe and pop-art master Victor Vasarely.

Her urban designs generate an energy that moves visitors, using dazzling colours that make a simple vintage gas station in Arkansas a place of pilgrimage, full of colour and a must-see for lovers of public art.

“Walala Pump & Go” was curated by Justkids and embodies the pop-tribal style of the artist, with bold and vibrant patterns that enrich the existing architecture.

“Now his style translates into larger surfaces and installations, large works cityscapes of the world with dazzling color and energy.”

Walala’s works bring a smile to the faces of everyone who sees their graphic style and lively colours. Proof of this can be seen in the seven-story building she transformed in Brooklyn, one of the largest projects she has done to date. Her design accentuates the lines of the building with a bold palette of colours. Walala shows us how much fun it can be to work in the art world and fall in love with what you see in your mind.

Among her numerous clients are: Harrods, Armani, Natuzzi, Topshop, Swatch, Nike, Art Fund, Marie Claire, Converse, Facebook, Nintendo, Urban Outfitters, Converse and ARIA London, etc.
