Achieve great abs with the ABS method

Achieve great abs with the ABS method You have to invest time and dedication to get a flat belly, but it’s much easier if you follow tips or routines that help you to achieve your goal. If you don’t stick to a programme, for instance, it’s highly likely that you’ll give up a few weeks in, because although they’re not difficult, you may not find the time to do your exercises. The ABS diet has a clear objective: to achieve noticeable abs in just six weeks. Created by former director of Men’s Health magazine, David Zinczenko, it’s designed for both men and women, and has become popular all over the world. The idea is to follow some nutrition guidelines along with a constant level of physical activity. There are five key points.

– Exercise. The secret of this diet is not to lead a se- dentary life. You need to do strengthening exercises, but eating properly is also very important.

– Six meals a day. This is an essential rule for any nutritionist. You should eat six times a day: breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and something small before bed.

– Watch the calories. You should keep an eye on calo- rie content and choose foods with fewer calories. It’s essential to monitor what you’re eating.

– One treat a week. You can sin with moderation. So the ABS method recommends keeping one day a week when you can give into temptation and enjoy your favourite food without counting the calories.

– Superfoods: the key to success. This is the basis of the ABS diet, and it consists of eating one or more superfoods in each of your six daily meals. What are superfoods? They’re foods that help us burn fat and achieve our goals.

The list of superfoods includes the following: almonds and walnuts, legumes, spinach and green vegetables, dairy products, oats, turkey and other lean meats, peanut butter, wholemeal bread, cereals, whey protein and red fruits.
